Who is a candidate for Bonding?
You are a good candidate for bonding if you want to change the look of your smile without undergoing more complicated treatments. We will examine your teeth to determine if bonding’s right for you and how to go about placing the material. Most patients who want bonding can have it done in our office with no ill effects. Bonding can last for up to a decade before we may recommend replacing it.
What occurs during the Bonding procedure?
Little to absolutely no anesthetic is necessary for the procedure. We then apply a bonding agent to the teeth to help with adhering the material. A color match is done to your existing teeth to ensure the composite blends perfectly. The proper composite is then applied to the tooth and detailed into place. We’ll cure the material with a specialized light that hardens the composite. Once finished, we’ll file down the tooth to ensure that it feels smooth and comfortable for you. You will love the way your new smile looks with its bonding.
